Two- or three-day riding breaks with guide (min 4 people)
Dead Woman’s Ditch, Slaughterhouse Combe and Fox’s Bottom are just a few of the areas you’ll discover on our riding breaks. The Quantock Hills were one of the first areas in Britain to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and it’s easy to see why!
About the breaks
Our breaks can be tailored to suit you – just tell us what you want to get out and we’ll do our best to meet your individual needs. You’ll need to have ridden before and have basic riding skills (able to trot and cope with a gentle canter). We’ll match your height, weight and ability to our stable of experienced horses and make sure you’re totally happy with your mount before leaving the stables.
Nearly all our riding is off-road in woodland and heathland. Experienced riders will easily be able to cover up to 20 miles a day – but it’s up to you and there’s no reason we can’t spend a bit more time enjoying a leisurely lunch in one of the many superb local pubs!
Our all-day rides have become very popular so we have created riding breaks with accommodation at Bashford Lodge, which in on site. We offer 2 day escorted horse trekking. Irish and Welsh cobs are available.
Enjoy a two day short breaks with escorted riding on the beautiful Quantock hills and through the forestry.
All our riding holiday prices and packages consist of 4 – 5 hours of riding per day. These are on safe forward going cobs over some superb Quantock hills.
